Tracking engagement for your Linkpages

Understand how visitors interact with your Linkpages — and use that data to optimize performance.

Written by Bidisha Sinha

Knowing that someone scanned your QR Code and landed on your Linkpage is just the beginning. Linkpage Engagement Analytics tells you what happened after they arrived — how far they scrolled, how long they stayed, and which sections and buttons they actually saw. This goes beyond simple scan counts. With engagement data, you can:

  • Identify drop-off points — see exactly where visitors stop scrolling and which content sections they never reach

  • Measure content effectiveness — understand whether your CTAs are actually visible to visitors

  • Prove ROI to stakeholders — back up your Linkpage investment with session-level data

  • Optimize page layout — use scroll depth and engagement time to inform where to ace your most important content

Pre-requisites

Linkpage Engagement Analytics is available on Plus plan and above.

Note: Admins and Editors can view engagement analytics for Linkpages they own or have access to. Viewers can see engagement data but cannot edit the Linkpage.

Engagement Metrics Explained

Bounce Rate

Bounce rate is the percentage of sessions where a visitor left your Link Page within 5 seconds of arriving. A high bounce rate suggests visitors aren't finding what they expected, or that your page content may need to better match the context of your QR Code placement.

Tip: A bounce rate above 60–70% is a signal to revisit your Linkpage headline, hero image, or the placement context of your QR Code.

Average Engagement Time

Average engagement time is the mean duration visitors actively spend on your Linkpage, calculated across all sessions and excluding bounces to give you a more accurate picture of genuine engagement.

This metric is displayed as a scorecard on your Linkpage analytics dashboard.

Note: Sessions where a visitor kept the tab open for an unusually long time without interaction (e.g., left the browser open) may be handled with outlier logic to avoid skewing your averages.
