Uniqode allows restaurant owners to create age-restricted QR Code menus to ensure only individuals above a specified age can access certain menu items. This is especially useful for establishments that serve age-regulated items. When a customer scans the QR Code, they’ll be prompted to enter their age. Access is granted only if their age meets or exceeds the threshold you’ve set.

Prerequisites

Age-gating QR Codes is available for Pro/Core plan and above.

How to create an age-gated QR Code

  1. Sign in to your Uniqode account

  2. Head over to the QR Code creation menu and select Restaurant Menu

  3. Set up your Restaurant menu

  4. In step 3, Customize, go to Advanced Settings

  5. Under AGE RESTRICTION, turn on Enable age restriction

  6. Enter the minimum age required to access the menu

  7. Click Next and then click Finish to save the changes

Customers below the minimum age will be blocked from viewing the menu contents.
