We’ve automated the sync between Google Workspace and Uniqode to ensure your Cards are always up to date.

Once Google Workspace is connected, a daily sync will automatically create users and cards for all your organizational units. You can select which organizational units to sync (by default all are enabled), and map them to specific organizations.

During each sync cycle, the following actions are performed:

Card Creation and Update Actions

  • New user added: When a new user is added to an organizational unit in Google Workspace, a digital business card is automatically created in Uniqode.

  • User information updated: Any changes to an existing user's details (e.g., name, department, contact info) are reflected in their digital business card.

  • Organizational mapping: Users are automatically assigned to the correct organization within Uniqode based on their Google Workspace structure.

  • Duplicate prevention: If a new user already has an existing card under a different account, Uniqode will not create a duplicate card.

Card Deletion

  • User removed: If a user is deleted from Google Workspace, their Uniqode account and associated digital business card will also be automatically removed.

  • User archived: If a user is archived in Google Workspace, their profile and card will be deleted from Uniqode to maintain accurate records.

You can also run a sync manually from the Settings tab.

Sync Exception

  • Renamed Units: If an organizational unit—or any of its parent units—is renamed in Google Workspace, and its path changes, it may affect the sync behavior in Uniqode.

  • New Units: Newly created organizational units in Google Workspace are not synced automatically.

In both of the above cases, you can disconnect the Google Workspace integration from Uniqode and connect again. The triggered sync after reconnecting will honor the latest state of organizational units on your workspace.
