Uniqode's Automatic Contact Enrichment uses AI to fill in missing professional details — such as job titles, company information, and LinkedIn profiles — for every contact you capture through your Digital Business Card. Enrichment runs silently in the background after a contact is saved, so your workflow is never interrupted. The result is a complete, CRM-ready lead profile with minimal manual effort.
Prerequisites
Available on all Uniqode Cards plans
The Uniqode mobile app installed on your device
Note: Free plan users receive a limited number of AI enrichment credits. Team and Business+ plan users have unlimited enrichment.
How Automatic Enrichment Works
When a contact is created through any supported method, Uniqode automatically queues an enrichment job in the background. You do not need to take any action — enrichment starts as soon as the contact is saved.
Supported contact creation methods:
Scan a business card
Upload a business card photo
QR-based contact capture (exchange)
Manual contact creation
Fields required to trigger enrichment:
Enrichment will only run if the contact has a First Name, Last Name, and Company Name. If any of these fields are missing, enrichment will not start, and you'll see a prompt to add the missing information.
Fields enriched:
Uniqode will automatically fill in any empty supported fields (such as job title, email, LinkedIn URL, company details, and more). Fields you have already entered will never be overwritten — your input always takes priority.
On the mobile app, AI-enriched fields are visually highlighted so you can easily see what was added by AI versus what you entered manually.
Getting Notified When Enrichment Completes
Since enrichment runs asynchronously, Uniqode sends you a push notification as soon as a contact has been enriched.
Open a contact that shows "Enriching contact details..." in the bottom drawer.
Tap Notify me to enable push notifications
Grant notification permissions when prompted.
You'll receive a notification when enrichment is complete. Tapping an individual enrichment notification opens the specific contact.
If multiple contacts are enriched within a short window, you'll receive a single grouped notification that opens your Contact Manager filtered by Recently Enriched.
Free Plan: AI Enrichment Credits
Free plan users receive a set number of AI enrichment credits per account. Your remaining credits are displayed on the contact creation screen before you save a contact (mobile app only).
When credits are exhausted, additional enrichments will be paused, and an upgrade prompt will appear. To continue enriching contacts without limits, upgrade to a paid plan
Manually Enriching Existing Contacts
Contacts created before automatic enrichment was enabled can still be enriched manually.
Open the contact in the Uniqode mobile app
Tap Enrich with AI from the contact detail screen
Enrichment will run in the background, and the contact's status will update when complete.
Re-Enrichment After Editing a Contact
If enrichment previously failed for a contact, you can trigger a fresh enrichment attempt by editing any of the following identity fields:
First Name
Last Name
Company Name
Email
LinkedIn URL
Saving an edit to any of these fields will automatically queue a new enrichment job. Re-enrichment does not trigger if you edit notes, tags, phone numbers, or custom fields, or if the contact was already successfully enriched.
Note: If a Company Name is missing and enrichment cannot proceed, you'll be prompted to add it. Once added, enrichment will restart automatically.
Viewing Enriched Contacts on the Web
In the current version, AI-enriched field values are visible exclusively in the Uniqode mobile app. The web Contact Manager shows enrichment status indicators (such as "AI Enriched") but does not display the enriched field values directly.
Troubleshooting
Enrichment is stuck on "In Progress"
Enrichment is processed asynchronously and may take a few minutes depending on queue volume. If the status does not update after several minutes, try closing and reopening the contact.
Enrichment Failed
The system automatically retries failed enrichment jobs 2–3 times before marking a contact as failed. If enrichment still fails, it typically means a reliable match could not be found with the available identity information. Try adding or correcting the contact's First Name, Last Name, Company Name, email, or LinkedIn URL to improve match accuracy.
Enrichment didn't fill in a field I expected
Enrichment only fills in empty fields. If a field already contains a value you entered, it will not be overwritten — even if the AI found a different value.
I'm on the Free plan and enrichment isn't starting
Check your remaining enrichment credits in the contact creation screen. If credits are exhausted, you'll need to upgrade to the Team plan to continue enriching contacts.
