Navigating your Insights trial

Learn how to enable your Insights trial to get access to 30 days of tracking scans and scanners for free

Written by Bidisha Sinha

The Insights trial gives you 30 days of full access to Uniqode Insights — Uniqode’s first-party audience intelligence product.

During the trial, you can build scanner profiles, track conversions, and follow the full post-scan journey for up to 10,000 scanners. This guide walks you through activating your trial, what’s included, what to set up first, and what happens when the trial ends.

Prerequisites

  • A Uniqode account on the Plus plan and above with admin/owner access.

Activating your 30-day trial

The trial is self-serve and activates directly in the product:

  1. Sign in to your Uniqode account.

  2. From the main navigation, open the Insights tab.

  3. On the Insights Overview page, click Start Free Trial.

  4. Your trial is now active. The 30-day countdown starts immediately.

Alternatively, you can

  • Click View Scanners in the grid view of the QR Code list page to redirect to the Insights platform and click Start Free Trial

  • Click Start Free Trial on the Insights banner on Analytics

Note: The countdown begins the moment you click Start Free Trial. Plan to set up your Pixel and first conversion goal within the first week to get the most out of the trial.

What’s included in the trial

Your trial includes full access to the core Insights product:

  • The complete Insights dashboard — Overview, Conversions, and Scanner Profiles.

  • Tracking for up to 10,000 scanner profiles.

  • Up to 100 conversion goals (pageview, form submission, Linkpage click, button click).

  • Standard integrations — Meta Conversions API, Google Ads, Shopify, and standard CRMs.

  • CSV data export.

Advanced integrations — CDP connectors, data warehouse/BI tools, and webhooks — are only available on the Enterprise tier and are not part of the trial.

Navigating the Insights dashboard

Once your Insights trial is active, you can set up Pixel (whitelist domain and deploy pixel) and create a conversion goal to start tracking. Your conversion data will start appearing on the Overview page once scans come in. The Insights dashboard has three primary areas:

Overview

The Overview page is your dashboard home. It surfaces Campaign Performance (Engagement Funnel and Top Converting QR Codes) and Audience Analytics (Identity Breakdown and Time to Convert) so you can see, at a glance, how your QR campaigns are performing and who is scanning them.

Conversions

Conversion goals let you define what a successful outcome looks like for each campaign — a form submission, a pageview, a Linkpage click, or a button click — and measure how many scanners completed that action. You can create up to 100 conversion goals during your trial.

Scanner Profiles

Scanner Profiles shows every unique device that has interacted with your campaigns, with persistent records for device, location, browser, session history, and event timeline. Profiles are either identified (when a scanner submits a Uniqode Form with an email or phone number) or anonymous.

Note: There is only one Pixel per account. The same Pixel code works across multiple domains, as long as each is whitelisted.

What happens when your trial ends

When your 30-day trial ends without an upgrade:

  • Your historical trial data remains accessible for up to three months

  • The Insights dashboard locks — no new data is tracked and the Pixel stops collecting.

  • If you upgrade within those three months, your historical data is preserved and tracking resumes immediately.

Upgrading after your trial

Upgrading is handled by the Uniqode sales team. To start the conversation:

  1. Click the Talk to Us button on the trial countdown timer or billing page.

  2. Submit your details. A new opportunity is created for our sales team.

  3. A sales representative will reach out to walk you through pricing and complete the upgrade.

Once the deal is closed and your billing is set up, Insights access is provisioned automatically.
