Add Voice Notes to Contacts on Uniqode Cards app

Capture notes hands-free with speech-to-text on the Uniqode Cards app

Written by Bidisha Sinha

With Uniqode Cards, you can record voice notes directly on a contact and have them automatically transcribed into editable text β€” so you never lose the context behind a conversation.

Voice notes are saved to the contact's profile and synced to your CRM, making follow-ups faster and more informed.

Prerequisites

  • Uniqode Cards app (iOS or Android)

  • Microphone permissions enabled for the Uniqode Cards app

How to record a voice note

  1. Open the Uniqode Cards app and navigate to the contact you want to add a note to.

  2. Tap Add Note on the contact's profile screen.

  3. Press Tap to speak to start recording. Speak your note clearly.

  4. Tap the stop button when you're done. Your recording will be automatically transcribed into text.

  5. Review the transcription and make any edits you need.

  6. Tap Save note. The note will be stored on the contact's profile and synced to your account.

Note: Voice notes have a limit of 10k characters. Transcription typically completes within 3 seconds for short recordings. For longer notes, it may take a few moments more.

What happens after saving

Once saved, your voice note is:

  • Stored on the contact's profile for future reference, accessible any time you open that contact.

  • Editable at any time, tap the note to update the transcribed text if needed.

Troubleshooting

  • Microphone permission denied

If the app can't access your microphone, go to your device's Settings β†’ Apps β†’ Uniqode Cards β†’ Permissions and enable the Microphone. Then try recording again.

  • Recording was interrupted

If a call or notification interrupts your recording, tap the microphone icon again to start a new recording. Interrupted recordings are not automatically saved.

  • Transcription doesn't look right

The accuracy of transcription depends on audio clarity. Edit the transcribed text directly before saving. Recording in a quieter space will improve results.
