Enhance your ad campaigns using QR Codes with Uniqode + Google Ads integration

Integrate google Ads with Uniqode to track your ad campaigns via QR Codes.

Written by Joy Arputha

Connecting Google Ads to your Uniqode account sends your QR Code scan data straight to your Google Ads account.

If you use Uniqode Insights, you can set up a more advanced version of this that turns scans into a conversion signal for Google's bidding system. See the note below.

Using Uniqode Insights? Google Ads retargeting through Insights ties scans to a specific conversion action for smarter bid optimization. Setting it up here will automatically disable this direct integration. See Retarget QR scanners with Google Ads Integration + Uniqode Insights

Prerequisites

Obtain Conversion ID from Google Ads

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account.

  2. Click Tools and settings in the top menu.

  3. Click Conversions under Measurements.

  4. Click on a Conversion action that you want to integrate.

  5. Expand Tag setup, and choose how you want to install the tag. You can obtain the Conversion ID from here by doing one of the following:

    1. If you want to add the tag yourself, click Install the tag yourself. Copy the content after “AW-” in the script displayed to obtain your Conversion ID. For example, if the script shows “AW-12345678900”, 12345678900 is your Conversion ID.

    2. If you want to email the tag script to your webmaster email address, click Email the tag. Enter the email address, then click Send tag. Copy the content after “AW-” to obtain your Conversion ID in the script in your email. For example, if the script shows “AW-12345678900”, 12345678900 is your Conversion ID.

    3. If you want to install the tag via Google Tag Manager, click Use Google Tag Manager. Copy the Conversion ID.

Integrate Uniqode with Google Ads

  1. Sign in to your Uniqode account.

  2. Click Integrations in the left menu, then click Google Ads.

  3. Paste the copied Conversion ID, then click Save.

Once done, you can track the number of people who have scanned your QR Codes with Google Ads and make adjustments to retarget your ads towards your users to improve your ad campaign efficiency.
