If you design in Adobe Express, you can now create, customize, and manage Uniqode QR Codes without switching tools. You can generate a dynamic QR Code, browse your existing codes, and drop them straight into your design — all from inside Express.
Prerequisites
This feature is available on the Core plan and above.
Who can use this feature
Admins, Editors, and Owners can create and insert new QR Codes.
Viewers can browse and insert existing QR Codes, but can't create new ones.
Connect your account
In Adobe Express, open the left-nav panel and select Add-ons.
Open the Uniqode add-on from the Adobe Express add-ons panel.
Click Add to get started.
If you don't already have a Uniqode account, you can sign up right there. If you already have one, you can log in instead.
Once connected, you'll land on the add-on's home screen.
Navigate the home screen
Use the organization switcher by clicking on the profile icon to move between organizations if you belong to more than one, and use search to find folders or QR Codes.
Folders and QR Codes each have their own section on the home screen, so you can browse what you've already created.
Note: If you're on a trial, you'll see a banner on the home screen letting you know, along with the upgrade prompts.
Create a new QR Code
From the home screen, click +Create QR Code.
Choose a QR type — Website, PDF, or Mobile App.
Configure your QR Code:
Website: enter a valid URL (must include https://).
PDF: upload a file (up to 50 MB) — you can also attach multiple PDFs, which are auto-merged into one.
Mobile App: add your app store links, plus a mandatory fallback Web URL.
Customize the design, toggle Transparent QR on if you want a transparent background, then click Finish to save.
On the confirmation screen, you can rename the QR Code, move it to a folder, or click Insert QR Code to insert it into your design.
Note: Website, PDF, and Mobile App are the only campaign types available inside Adobe Express, and bulk QR creation isn't supported here either. For other campaign types, bulk creation, or advanced customization, head to your Uniqode dashboard.
Editing a QR Code
From the home screen, click on any existing QR Code.
Click on the 3-dot menu next to the QR Code name.
Click Edit
Make the changes and click Finish to save the QR Code.
Insert an existing QR Code
From the home screen, click on any existing QR Code.
Click Insert QR Code to insert it into your design.
Note: Inserted QR Codes are print-ready — high-resolution PNGs, including transparent QR Codes.
Tips for best results
Use folders to stay organized Since the home screen lists folders and QR Codes separately, keeping related codes in folders makes them easier to find and reuse across designs.
Watch for toast messages If something goes wrong — an invalid file upload, a plan limit, invalid credentials — Uniqode surfaces it as a toast message inside the panel so you can fix it without leaving Express.
