Mobile App QR Codes can be used as a quick and convenient way for users to access and download an app. It can smartly redirect users to the Play Store or App Store, depending on the OS of a user’s device.

These QR Codes can be especially valuable in marketing campaigns or when promoting a mobile app in physical locations. They can be printed on physical materials like posters, flyers, business cards, and product packaging to be promoted in various locations, events, and marketing materials. They can also be integrated into interactive experiences, such as scavenger hunts or gamified marketing campaigns to boost app downloads creatively.

You can also custom design a Mobile App QR Code to incorporate your brand's logo or colors, reinforcing your brand identity and making the code more recognizable and attractive to users.

App stores are online marketplaces or platforms where one can browse, search for, download, and install mobile apps. There are different app stores for different platforms, such as the Apple App Store for iOS devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices.

To create a Mobile App QR Code (previously called App Download QR Code) that drives app downloads, you must provide links to different app stores where your app is available. This will ensure that users are directed to the appropriate app store to download your app, independent of the device they are using. Here are the different types of app store links mentioned on the dashboard:

App Store URL (iPhone): For a link to the Apple App Store for iPhone devices.

App Store URL (iPad and macOS): For a link to the Apple App Store for iPad and macOS devices.

Play Store URL: For a link to the Google Play Store for Android devices.

Web URL: For a link to your app's website or landing page. Users will be redirected to this link if they access your QR Code from a platform that is neither Android, iOS, iPad, or MacOS. This link can also be used to give users the option to learn more about your app before downloading it.

Redirect users to your app on Android and iOS

To create an app download QR Code,

  1. Go to “+Create” and Select QR Code

  2. Select the Mobile App campaign from the menu.

  3. Paste your links under the appropriate URL sections.

  4. For Android users: Enter the link to your app on Playstore under Google Play Store URL

  5. For iPhone users: Enter the link to your app on the App Store under the App Store URL (iPhone)

  6. For iPad and Mac users: Enter the link to your app on the App Store under the App Store URL (iPad and macOS)

  7. For users scanning the QR Code from any other operating system: Enter the link to your app under the Web URL.

  8. Customize your QR Code: Change the eyes, patterns, and frame, add a logo, and more.

  9. Download the QR Code: Enter a name for your QR Code and Save.

  10. Click Finish or Download the QR Code in your preferred format.
